Well…a lot has changed over the last 9 months! My husband and I are expecting our first baby boy this July. We couldn’t be more excited or nervous.

Between being pregnant, moving, and running a retail store, I haven’t had much time to put into my blog. I had hopes of capturing some fabulous styled maternity looks, but it seems like life just got so busy in between! So, I’ve decided to share with you my maternity photo shoot which was such a special time for my growing family.

My photographer, Kristin Potenti of KP Studios, really nailed exactly what I was looking for in the shoot. I wanted to do a few different looks, and for some reason, had my heart set on a whimsical/boho/romantic vibe with none other than a gorgeous horse. Horse and flower crown? Right up my alley!

I LOVE DIY projects (when I have the time) and decided to take a shot at making my own floral crown. Let’s just say, 3 hours, 2 re-dos, 10 you-tube videos later and tons of glue gun shreds, I had my masterpiece. I will need to perfect my craft before I turn selling floral crowns into my next business 😉

The first few photos we shot were at my home. I wanted something really special for my husband and myself. I was a little nervous about posting my bare belly, but people post bikini selfies all the time, so why not? The pregnant belly is beautiful and shows the little miracle that is growing inside.

I loved Rach Parcell of Pink and Peonies beautiful pink rose kimono/robe, and actually found a similar one at Forever 21. I paired it with a Coobie Bra (super comfy, one-size fits all) which you can find on Amazon.

My puppy was excited to be a part of the shoot- he is excited to be a big brother!

The next outfit I chose was a gorgeous crochet caftan by Jen’s Pirate Booty. You can purchase the caftan here from LaLa Couture Boutique (call to order). I love the way my photographer edited these photos. It was really a special moment for my husband and me.

The final shots were taken at Robbins Park in Davie, FL. We rented the most beautiful horse, Ellie, for the shoot. It was actually really funny- Ellie was way more into eating grass and sneezing than having her photo taken. Every time I would pull her up from trying to the eat the grass, my dress would fall down! I don’t know how in the world my photographer got such amazing photos! It was pretty amusing! Wardrobe stylist Britta Foreman was there to help me fix my dress every time (thank goodness!).

Speaking of the dress…I found this beauty on Etsy from The Citrus Branch. It was perfect for the shoot because you could let it be open in the front, or keep it closed.

I had a wonderful time shooting these maternity photos, and I hope you enjoyed as well! I linked all of the looks to where you can purchase above.

A big thank you to the following for helping make the maternity shoot a huge success:
