Thanksgiving Day Style

Hi Y’all! I’m BAAAAACK after a long hiatus. Life just sometimes gets crazy and my time and energies were focused elsewhere. I’m happy to say I’m in a much more creative place than I was 5 months ago when I took a little break. Sometimes as artists, we need a chance to take a step back, breathe, and refocus.

I have been SUPER busy working with styling clients (as well as my full-time corporate job and being a single mommy!) which has helped re-spark my creative flow. If you’re anything like me, stripes and fall colors are my FAVORITE! I can just taste the pumpkin spice lattes right now! I found this super cute dress for under $20 and it looks way more expensive. Fall Florals

 The leaves may be turning but that doesn’t stop me from wearing pretty florals. The key to staying true to the season is in the colors…look for navy, orange, purple or any other fall colors. I absolutely love this top by Daniel Rainn. I kept it modern by pairing it with flares. The denim is from a few seasons ago but another pair that would work is the Joy in Pulse by DL1961.  Fall is in the air and I couldn’t be more excited. 

The 70’s are back in style with flare denim topping the list. Luckliy, I have an amazing old pair in my closet by Fidelity. I’m also obssesing over the Joy in Pulse by DL1961 and the Girl Crush in Dustbowl by Current Elliott. Buy both from LaLa (954-712-1100 to order). The greatest thing about flares is they look good on even us short gals because they elongate the leg. Show off those gams girl! 

I paired mine with a basic silk tank by Bella Luxx and completed the look with my favorite handbag at the moment- this fringe stunner by Jennifer Haley (also available at LaLa).

Rainy Days

Rainy days call for easy dresses and Hunter boots! The weather in South Florida has been less desirable, so I pulled out my favorite wellies and splashed in a few puddles. Why not?! 

One of my new additions to my wardrobe is this knit tee dress by Current Elliott. It’s super comfy and can be worn so many ways. It’s also a great fall transition piece. When it’s not raining I’ll pair it with booties and a leather jacket. Buy it here.

 One of my big must-haves for fall is a great vest. It’s an essential piece to inVEST in this fall 😊 This army green one by Current Elliott is my pick because you can wear it now as we transition to fall, and it goes with everything! 

I chose to style this with a summery casual outfit for a day of errands. Comfy sneaks, Current Elliott denim skirt and trusty J Crew tee were in need of a vest to create the transition look. The finishing touch is my amazing leather crossbody by Hammitt.

Pinstripes and Leopard

 These are two of my favorite things…

And they fit perfectly into my fall transition wardrobe. The fuzzy leopard flats juxtapose the summery pinstripes of the dress, making it a bit more “fall” like.

Fall Transition

I can already taste the pumpkin spiced lattes, hear the crowd cheer of a football game, and feel the cool crisp breeze….ok so I’m dreaming a little bit…

But fall really is right the corner! It’s the time where we ditch the bright summer colors for rich earth tones and replace the sandals with booties. It’s FALL Y’ALL!

This outfit is mostly items I already had in my closet, since most fall styles are just now hitting the stores (plus it’s SO hot here in Florida that I wouldn’t be caught dead in cashmere right now…even for a blog post! 😝).

My white blazer is from Zara. Yes, you can wear a white blazer year round! To me it’s the perfect transition piece. Find a similar one here.

I paired it with faux leather shorts from Free People from many seasons ago (buy similar here), a silk tank by Rory Beca (new and available at LaLa Couture-call to order), and heels by Schutz. 

The leopard foldover clutch by Clare V is one of my favorite purchases for fall…it’s super roomy without being oversized. Last but certainly not least, my all time favorite go-to accessory is by none other than my favorite accessory designer Ted Rossi.
